The Hypothermia Network will continuously publish updated clinical protocols and
treatment proposals on this homepage. All hospitals are welcome to use these
protocols and/or to revise them according to local standards and therapy
traditions (Word-files can be sent upon request, please contact your Steering
Group representative). The protocol proposals are based on two large randomized
studies (NEJM 2002 346(8): 549-556, 557-563) and on our continuous experience of
hypothermia treatment. Our ambition is that the general protocols (in English)
should be neutral regarding the means of hypothermia treatment and temperature
control. Units that wish to post their own local protocols are encouraged to do
so (if desired, please contact your representative in the Steering Group).
